During a current art-producing hiatus that is (more or less) not of my own choosing, I’ve decided to start a trek down the Information Highway. Does anybody still use that term?
A combination of activities like keyboarding, along with gardening and using hand tools, have resulted in wrist surgery leaving me temporarily one-handed. There is a painful irony in the fact that the very keyboarding which may have been primarily responsible is one of the few activities I can presently do. However, it could have been the gate building episode last fall, with the manual screwdriver that finished me off!
First I thought “Why the heck would I need a blog??” Then I saw a notice in my local newspaper about Blogging for Business. As an artist who sells work occasionally and would prefer to sell more, a free talk about business blogging seemed like a fine idea. I’ve spent the past several days checking out blogs, banners, templates, CSS, etc., etc. and knowing only little more than I did, I’m going to jump in anyway.
In the next six weeks of recovery time I hope to get a good start at coordinating
1. a blog (here or elsewhere)
2. a website
3. an Etsy store
4. my flickr.com account
I should have very well developed left hand skills by then!
